CTRLTAB built the SMS Forwarder application as a commercial application.

This Privacy Policy explains how the application handles permissions, SMS processing, and user data.

Permissions Used

The app may request the following permissions for proper functionality:

• INTERNET
  Required to connect the app to online services, APIs, forwarding endpoints, and notifications.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS
  Required to display foreground service notifications and important app alerts.
• RECEIVE_SMS
  Required to detect newly received SMS messages for forwarding and automation features.
• READ_SMS
  Required to read incoming SMS messages for user-configured forwarding functionality.
• SEND_SMS
  Required if the app sends SMS messages, replies automatically, or performs SMS relay operations.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE
  Required to keep SMS forwarding services running reliably in the background.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC
  Required for continuous synchronization and forwarding operations while the app is active in foreground service mode.

  Used to help users pick contact details of senders or receivers for SMS forwarding and automation workflows.

How Information Is Used

The application may process:

SMS messages, contact details, forwarding rules, and related data primarily remain stored on the user's device.

CTRLTAB does not operate or provide its own cloud storage, backup infrastructure, or server-side SMS storage services.

Any forwarding APIs, webhooks, external servers, or third-party integrations configured inside the app are fully managed and controlled by the user.

The app itself does not permanently store SMS message content on CTRLTAB servers.

Uninstalling the application or clearing app storage removes locally stored application data.

Third-Party Services

The application may use trusted third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, notifications, or core Android functionality.

These services may include:

• Firebase Analytics

Log Data
